GROM Race Information

The GROM awards will be tonight 5/17/2023 after the race!

IMPORTANT:

These races are FREE courtesy of Mikes Bikes  but you MUST register online before 4:30 on race day for a 5:00 PM start. Once you sign up, you are good for the rest of the season, but PLEASE keep your number plate!

What is a GROM?
The term " started out in the surf and skateboard culture meaning a young kid passionate about their sport with a positive and chill attitude. It has since migrated over to mountain biking and other sports as well!

The GROM races this year are FREE and sponsored by Mikes Bikes and PCRS. Our kids are our future in the cycling community and we are committed to making our races available to our future racers!

These races are for fourth-ish graders through eighth graders who are not ready to do a regular lap around Prairie City and/or have maybe never raced before. (If they are already racing in the NorCal High School League we would ask that they race in the regular races at 6:00 pm). We will set up a separate GROM course that will vary slightly week to week.

You will need to register your child and physically sign a waiver when you pick up their number plate.

Our GROM races:
- Races are 20 minutes + 1 lap
- Please be on the start line at 5:00 pm.
- Each racer gets a weekly attendance sticker for their number plate
- Series medals for the top 3 in each class
- Fun for the whole family (Older kids and Adults race at 6pm)

- Best 4 out of 5 are your champions!

Come out with your kids and have some fun!
